iAxil-Cyema Business Plan Workshop and Entrepreneur Sharing

This is for those who might have a business idea or technology background such as Master and PHD from high-tech R&D side. This is for those who want to control their own life and be their own boss.

iAxil-Cyema Business Plan Workshop aims to provide personal mentor-ship and training for young entrepreneurs. We invited experienced venture capitalist and entrepreneurs to share their experience. Most importantly, they will follow you along the way from idea generation, business planing writing, cash flow projection to project presentation and fund raising. This will be a half year to one year long term development program developed by Cyema. And this workshop is the first step. We proudly to have these two coaches with us:Our Mentor and Advisors:
Dr. Tan Chong Hee, Tallwood Venture Capital and GGV CapitalDr. Tan has established a platform for the engagement of venture capitalists and new ventures to work with Chartered Industries on emerging application technologies, next wave supporting elements, and new markets.Before Chartered, Dr. Tan was Vice President of Pacific Venture Partners, a Taiwanese venture capital company focused on technology ventures. He was charged with technology, product and industry assessments and was involved in numerous investments and fund raising activities. Prior to that, he spent seven years at the Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Singapore, where he held various technical, business and management leadership positions. He was instrumental in establishing various national projects and programmes, ranging from chip prototyping to intellectual property alliance. Between 1984-1993, Chong-Hee was with the Joint Microelectronics Research Centre, University of New South Wales (UNSW), where he led and was involved in various VLSI system, IC design, and EDA activities. During this period, he was also consultant to the Australian Government and companies, and national agencies of ASEAN countries, on microelectronics technologies.--
Jeffrey Paine, Executive Director, Battle VenturesJeffrey was previously an Executive Director (programming & corporate development) and Board member of Rediffusion, a 60 year old radio broadcaster in Singapore which have since transformed into the first subscription digital audio broadcaster (DAB) in the world. Jeffrey advised and led the recapitalization exercise of the company and is part of the new incoming turnaround advisory team.He is also an advisor and Principal of Cutler Venture Partners LLC, a manufacturing & services focused private equity firm based in the US with offices in the India, and Singapore. Cutler Venture Partners provides expansion capital to mature mid market manufacturers and manufacturing services companies in India.Prior to Cutler Asia, Mr. Paine was an Investment Manager for MPH Ventures, a S$20 million corporate venture capital fund of MPH Limited a public listed conglomerate in Singapore, specializing in venture capital investments in the Media, and Technology sectors (Greater China, and US). In addition, he worked closely with the majority shareholder and Executive Chairman to identify and review strategic initiatives for the group, in particular the on-going corporate restructuring (unlocking shareholder's value) exercise since the takeover of MPH Limited in 1999. He also served concurrently as Head of Strategic Planning & Business Development and Custom Publishing for MPH Magazines, the media and publishing subsidiary of MPH Limited (renamed BluInc Media Group) overseeing China, Indonesia, and Malaysia and participated in negotiating various strategic partnerships with the largest magazine publishing groups in both the US (Primedia) and Mainland China.Before joining MPH, Jeffrey worked for KPMG LLP, in Los Angeles, mainly in Risk Advisory Services (Technology Assurance). Jeffrey graduated from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Information Systems) and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese.Jeffrey currently advises Pioneer Venture Singapore (an aluminum die-casting distressed buyout and recapitalization exercise), Video Edition Inc.
