GSS Postgraduate Welcome Night is a special night just for incoming postgraduate freshmen. Come and be inspired by the useful tips and advice from our esteemed speakers and make friends with your seniors from the Graduate Students' Society!

Graduate Students' Society (GSS) Walking Tour 2014

The new semester is about to begin and the Graduate Students’ Society (GSS) of NUS, takes pride in welcoming our new graduates to the NUS Family. The GSS has a lot of fantastic events lined up for the graduates, throughout the semester. 

The first exciting event is the GSS Walking Tour, organized by the International Students’ Support Committee of GSS. The Tour covers a vibrant area of Singapore. 

Come join us for FREE for a walk from Clark Quay to Marina Bay Sands and cherish the exotic flavor of Singapore, while you walk,  talk, make new friends with the fresher’s and the existing graduates and also click some pictures (Selfies preferred)

The GSS team with its walking tour promises you of a memorable experience as you familiarize yourself with some scenic places across the island

Date: 01/08/2014

Time: 6-9pm

Tour: Clarke quay to Marina Bay Sands

Assemble Point: Clarke Quay MRT –Exit G (Please refer to the attached MRT map)

Assemble Time: 6pm

The participants are expected to assemble at the Exit G of Clark Quay MRT at 6pm, from where we shall start our tour. The tour ends at the Marina Bay Sands. Participants are expected to take their own means of transport back to their places. It is always better to bring your umbrella and water bottles for your convenience.

Dear Fresher’s,

Congratulations for making it to NUS. The journey has just begun and the ride is going to be fun filled. On behalf of the Graduate Students Society of NUS, I welcome you all to NUS. GSS has a several events planned for you to make your experience at NUS productive and enjoyable at the same time.

For those who of have arrived or will be arriving soon, I am sure you have hundreds of things running in your minds like any other fresher in a new country and a new university. What do I specialize in? What modules are being offered and which ones do I choose? Where can I find an apartment that fits my requirements and budget? Will I fit into an international crowd? Which would be the best phone plan to go for? Which bank should I open my account in?

GSS is organizing an event catered specially to answer these questions and more. Kopitiam is a one day event where you get to meet your seniors from your departments, interact with them and make new friends.
